The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has developed a brief survey of children's services and the needs and gaps related to state psychiatric hospital services and community-based services that may reduce the need for state psychiatric hospital services. HHSC will use the survey results to help inform future planning for crisis mental health services and service delivery for children through age 17. The survey is open through January 14 and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is accepting informal comments on Medicaid Individualized Services and Socialization draft rules until January 14, 2022. Individualized Services and Socialization will replace existing day habilitation services in the DBMD, HCS, and TxHmL waiver programs to comply with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rules governing Medicaid home and community based services (HCBS) settings. Individualized
Services and Socialization will begin on a trial basis on September 1, 2022 and is supposed to be fully in effect by March 17, 2023. Review draft rules and submit informal comments by January 14.
