The CARES Act allows taxpayers to donate up to $300 in cash to an organization like The Arc of Texas and reduce your adjusted gross income (AGI) up to $300, and still claim the standard deduction. For those who itemize their taxes, the CARES Act allows for cash contributions
to The Arc of Texas to be deducted up to 100% of AGI, up from 60% previously.
