Why does the census matter for you?
- Congress uses the census to decide how to spend $675 billion every year for healthcare, special education, and SNAP benefits—supports that people with disabilities need to live in the community.
- A 1% undercount in Texas means losing out on $300 million a year: a loss of $3 billion over 10 years.
